The screen is nice size. The other reviews say the picture quality is not great. But if you adjust it in set up , It is perfect. Great price and works great. Sound is good as well

I remember a Boy Scout trip back in the 90s and the Scout leader had a CRT TV with built in VCR in the tour van, playing Return of the Jedi. That was the coolest thing in my book. Car rides would never be the same. I had a buddy who got one of these portable DVD players in the early 2000s when they probably were easily over $300 bucks. But that also was a magical experience. This has been something I've always wanted. And now I've got one. Good times ahead!For the price, it's overall pretty decent. The disc part works totally solid. And being an all region player is a total bonus for watching any kinds of foreign films, no problem. The screen is a great size too. Like a laptop. Not too large that it's hard to travel with. But not like looking at a phone screen. The player is a quick and efficient unit. Also, it remembers the position of the disc too.Now the screen is the type that you pretty much have to look straight on or it darkens up on all the side angles. So, it's totally fine for 1 person. 2 people got to squeeze in close. Any more, might not be the best setup. Quality wise is nice enough. With menu options to adjust some settings too. Speakers get the job done. Nothing amazing. But I could easily hear everything in the movie. Plug some headphones in for a much better experience. I also like how all the main buttons you need are on the unit itself. Making the remote more of a bonus. But also great if you lose the controller.It's got a USB port but sadly it doesn't play MP4s. Which is generally what all my digital movies are in. So, that's a bit of a bummer but not the reason I got the player. Then another odd thing is that there's no HDMI in or out. There's the AV cable that would work fine for connecting to a CRT TV. But you will need some adapters if you want to hook your Super Nintendo or N64 up to it. I thought I had some but no luck. So wasn't able to try that out. Would be an awesome classic gaming rig if that works out. Might just have to get some connectors down the line.With a battery back up, this is the perfect on the go DVD watching experience. I have a massive collection and still continue to buy physically. Plus, I'm on the go constantly. So, this will become a great travel buddy for killing time in the car and watching movies for podcasts.

I had put my original review up a few months after purchase bc it quit reading some dvds even though I had already watched them in the player, a few days after I get a message on Prime from Yoton rep named Connie. Very sweet individual. She asks my story about what happened, after that she let's me know it sounds like a defective motherboard, apologizes for the inconvenience and asks if they can send me a new one to replace the defective one! I definitely get that products malfunction- it happens but to hit me up to talk about the issue and replace it is next level. I had to come on here and give them a huge praise as customer service is everything to me especially in todays world where alot could careless about their products and they went above and beyond what they had to! I'll definitely be going through them as long as they are a company! Thank you and your team SO much Connie!Enjoyed this dvd player for a couple months until it started doing this crap. Any disc I put in it says This Disc is Not Formatted To PLay In this Region. Yet Yoton claims to be a region free dvd player. Well it's not, I've literally watched the current dvd thats in here on this player already but now for some reason it won't play anything. I wouldn't waste my money again on this one. I expect to get atleast a year from these kind of dvd players. It's been like 3 months and now I'm going to have to get a new one. Very little help online about how to or if you can fix this issue. I tried all of the suggestions minus "hook it to your computer and download x,y,z, thing to be able to switch region to 0" I ain't doing all that lol...

Ordered this DVD player for occasional use. The player stops about every 5 minutes (or less) and has to be powered off and back on to resume playing. The entire keyboard is black, with black print and no back up light to illuminate the key pad. That's inconvenient but tolerable. However, the player should be able to play an occasional DVD without constant re-starting!! Junk! I purchased the 2 yr Asurian service plan so will see how that works. Hopefully better than the DVD player. I'll update this review if/when help is found to resolve the problem. Until then - use your money on another DVD player & save yourself the headaches on this one.

great dvd player, includes power adapter, remote and car adapter. the sound could be better but it gets the job done and there is also a headphone jack. the dvd player also has a pause button, another review stated there was no pause button. trust me, its there. great value for the price and the size is good too.

Works fine. Purchased it as a backup in case something goes wrong with the other.

This is a great value if you're looking for a no frills dvd/monitor combo. It won’t play beat. Up discs so I’d for a different model if your dvds aren’t nearly mint. Not exactly 4k, but that's fine for me, as I'm going to use it while traveling or camping. I can't vouch for the durability as I just received it earlier today. (That's why I gave it 4* not 5)
