Adults Should Learn French Like a Child
This book is perfect, especially when combined with " Beginner French Phrases" and "The Big French Vocabulary Workbook." I studied French in high school and CC years ago. Now that I am moving to France I have found the best way to reintroduce myself to the language is through children's books. They provide all the essentials, in bite-size bits, with pronunciations, grammar tips, etc., all without trying to stuff it down your throat like adult language courses do. So, teach me like a child. I'm loving it!

EXCELLENT!
BEGINNER FRENCH WORKBOOK [Level 1, Vocab Booster, Bilngoal] could be an excellent textbook for a Middle-school program or for astute home-schoolers. [I recommend starting on p35 with school vocabulary to be used daily]. The scaffolding of lessons to build slowly on what is learned could also work for a summer intensive course/camp. Self-taught adults can also use it to start their language journey or to brush up on what they learned in high school. I would have students complete exercises in the workbook, then write vocabulary and creative sentences/stories/pictures with labels in a personal notebook. Games to reinforce the vocabulary could be easily designed and implemented. The "phoneticized" pronunciation guides are helpful for independent studies, but I would recommend adding basic French apps or games online for improved listening opportunities (there are plenty of free ones available). At $10.99 it's well worth the printed pages and content. No need to buy more expensive textbooks with their full-color photos, as the grey-toned images here are cute yet accurate (younger students could draw the images again in their notebooks). The word list in the back is also extremely helpful. [I am a language instructor but not a native French speaker, so I won't comment on the regional pronunciation or vocabulary.] I highly recommend this book.

French workbook
As a beginner the workbook not only has English French translation but a pronunciation key. Key has been helpful in how to pronounce words we know as English in the French way

Has errors; otherwise good
I like this workbook, it is designed in a friendly way that is easy to use, with useful words and phrases and opportunities to practice. BUT keep an eye out for errors, as I have noticed several of them!

Amazing!
I am a middle school French teacher and bought this book to save me time for this upcoming school year. The design is gorgeous and the exercises are helpful. The only concern I have is that the words/pictures are VERY light grey, so I worry that they will not reproduce well when copying the pages at my school. I would LOVE to have a .pdf version so that it makes it easier for me to use as a teacher without destroying my book. Please let me know if that is something available to teachers who have purchased the book!!

Great resource, but has errors
For an adult beginner this was a pretty good resource! I enjoyed doing the exercises and learning all of the words and sentence structures. However, there were quite a few errors whether it was grammatical or misused words, etc. Even within the answer pages. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars!
