Why did you pick this product vs others?:Save yourself the heartache and buy it. I did my first gasket change without one... its doable but think of it like changing your oil without a jack. Is it doable? Yes. Are you going to have a good time? No.

Does what it’s meant to
I fought with the gasket ring on my washing machine for two hours. Then I searched the internet to see how it was done. Ordered this inexpensive tool, and it made the job easy.

OUTER spring clip tool
This tool works great for the outer spring clip. Worth the money to ease the installation after fighting the inner clip. I almost filed some notches in the tips to aid with the inner spring clip. I ended up using a piece of wire to hold one side and a pliers to attach the inner spring clip. If I had read the description I probably would not have purchased because the inner spring clip was the one a special tool would have been more useful.

If you need one of these, this one works. (LG washing machine)
This is a very special tool for a very narrow purpose. It does work. I needed to remove (and subsequently re-install) a spring loaded circular collar on our LG clothes washer. It is a tedious task rendered much easier with this tool. It does the job and given its special purpose, a bargain.

PERFECTLY PERFECT!
Game changer. If you have a washer that has the spring loaded gasket clamps, BUY THIS. I tried putting the darn thing back on without the tool...NO GO. I was not about to pay almost a hundred bucks for the "LG tool"; so I bought this. Worked like a CHARM and had the clamp on in under 20 seconds.

Doesn’t remove inner spring
Does not work on inner spring if you don’t dismantle the entire washer. It doesn’t have the horizontal hooks like the name brand LG version. You won’t be able to get the inner spring off if it’s to the side and not directly at the 12 o’clock position because the angle of the washer front panel blocks the ability to maneuver the tool.
