With a Etekcity infrared thermometer, I've seen it can reach 60°C+ on a car's black dashboard, so removing from the sun's rays is essential. Simply get it near the strong magnet and it grabs it out of the way, back to car and easy to replace it. These are metal posters from Displate, they come with adhesion material in the box, however overtime the adhesion material comes away from the wall resulting in them falling and potentially getting damaed.I was recommended to get these instead and they work like a charm. However if they accidentally come together you'll have a hard time getting them apart again... they also easily get damaged if they suddenly become attracted to another magnet. Plus if I want to take a poster down the magnet will simply pull the screw out of the wall leaving a big hole... but unfortunately there isn't a perfect solution.In conclusion these are the best solution if you're in a similar situation to me in regards to wanting to keep something metal or magnetic on a wall!

The magnets are pretty strong. I've used them for the back door on the garage. One screwed to the wall and the other screwed to the back of the door. When I push the door open the magnets lock it in the open position. It holds just enough and it isn't hard to pull the door closed.Beware it is a pain if you let the loose magnets touch, tough enough to pull apart.It would have been a 5 star review but I did have one small gripe. When screwing the 2 magnets I quickly realised the screw head will be in the way. The magnets have a groove in them for the screw head. But if you want the 2 magnets to connect to each other you must use a side that hasn't got the groove. I would suggest putting a small groove into both sides rather than 1.

These are every bit as strong as they say- you do need to read and follow the instructions. I bought them to fix a door to the oven whose springs had weakened. They work perfectly but I checked and found that the magnetism goes if they are heated to >80C. So far it seems that they are staying below the critical temperature but it remains to see what happens if the oven is on high for a lengthy period. I can't blame the magnets but maybe worth adding the temperature requirement to the description?

in the worship I have thenm under my shelves and just stick screwdrivers etc to them. works a treat. Limited to one's imagination - eg..... If you have a metal box on your fuses with a hinged cover, put one where the cover touches the box and it makes fuse work infinitely easier. My electrician copied me and always takes one with him.

Very powerful magnets and amazing for their size. Did exactly what they were needed for. Take care though. Look at the warning on the packaging before trying to use them. Wish I had!
