I wanted to be able to control a ceiling light in our motorhome from the doorway. Running wire in a motorhome wall is very difficult. The door jamb is made of steel so the magnetized switch housing could be placed anywhere and moved any time. Now when we enter the motorhome after dark there's a switch right where you would want Hu it to be.

This is the only product out there as a wireless 12v light switch. That said, it works great and helped me separate power to my front and back RV lights when doing a remodel. The wire that the previous lights were attached to constantly had power since those lights had a switch. After replacing those lights with recessed ceiling lights, I needed a way to turn them on/off since my new lights didn't have a switch. I ran a new wire connecting all the ceiling lights in series bypassing the old connections and had this wireless switch module at the starting point wired into one of the old (always on) connections. Presto! Wireless control of my rear three bedroom lights. The remote is magnetically attached to the wall and I just grab it before bed and don't even have to get up to turn the lights off. The fact that it is kinetically powered is a plus. I only wish it was a little more modern in design.

Installed today... working fine. Note that this is NOT a dry/isolated relay. The negative input passes always to the negative output... the positive input is passed to the positive output when the switch is "ON" (relay closed). Also is not a momentary relay... relay closes when press the remote ON button and remains on until press the remote OFF button. I think it is possible that some of the negative reviews that could not accomplish setup is because the instructions to press the button for 3 seconds to start the setup could be taken as pressing the remote button. The "indicator light" on the relay is ALSO a button and the one to be pressed to start setup.

I purchased this to use in my truck to turn a light bar on and off. My other choice to turn the light bar on and off was to run a wire from the back of the truck to a power source and inside the truck and then cut a hole somewhere in the truck and install a switch. I have been wiring trucks boats trailers and whatever else for a long time, many years and this is by far the easiest way to hook up a switch to something and I have ever used in my life. If you are considering adding a power accessory to something that you own like your truck your boat trailer you need to consider one of these

Awesome 12v switch! I bought an RV that didn’t have a switch on the wall in the master bedroom and the kids bunk room. The biggest issue was the kids bunk room since they aren’t tall enough to push the button on the light mounted on the ceiling. I needed to add a switch but worried about how to run wires to the switch on the wall.This switch allowed me to easily add a switch for the light. I followed the instructions and easily wired the device. Pairing the remote was super easy and the magnet for the wall is super strong.I have nothing bad to say about this device. Works perfectly!

Bought this so that I could install exterior lighting on a trailer, without having to run (and protect) wiring to a switch to control it. The fact that the remote doesn't need a battery is a huge benefit.I did have to clear and pair the remote the first time. It's not immediately obvious, even after reading the instructions, but the LED on the relay itself is also a pushbutton.

This review is for the 12-24V DC model. I have a damper that can divert heat from the furnace to the basement. The damper is controlled by two zoned thermostats. After the thermostat in the basement broke, I had to manually connect and disconnect the wires every time I want to change the damper position. I have been looking for this in hardware stores but haven’t found any. I am really glad I found it here! I installed it 5 minutes after I got the package. You stick each exposed wire end into its slot based on + and - like a pin, then tighten the screw. Worked perfectly at first try. Small and light and easily secured onto the side of the vent with the double sided tape provided in the package. A diyer’s dream!

Easy to install very convenient

Excellent product. Good size wiring slots for cable inputs and outputs. Rated to 10A DC. Simple battery free transmitter. Setup takes only minutes. Tried other relays but this unit beats them all base on design and connection slots. Good value. Has many uses for automotive and around the home.
