Q: Can this be use for wood ring making?

I have used this for making wood rings, but primarily the sanding and polishing of bentwood rings made from painstakingly rolled wood veneer. Would not recommend for any kind of cutting, as it doesn't have the power.

Q: In the instructions it says; "this product can not be directly connected to household electricity." & needs a "power converter" question is what kind?

Mine came with a power adaptor that plugs in household electricity and also provides a speed adjustment. It's the little black box shown in the picture.

Q: Is there a longer bed available?

Yes you can buy this on amazon to the length you want. extruded aluminum t slot 1x2 then mount the motor and the end holder on to the new bed and ypur good. But at some point the motor will not be able to handle it so motor upgrade may be needed.

Q: My power cable ripped up what would be a good replacement for it?

If you still have the part that plugs into the lathe I recommend putting a motor speed control, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Q2QVWVX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, between the transformer and the lathe. If the cable is ripped off right at the plug or either side of the transformer, you are SOL. The plug is of an unusual size, so you may not get one that fits. If there are good lengths of cable left, some careful splicing is in order.
