You'll Forget It's An Electric Lawn Mower!
Before buying this lawn mower, I read the reviews. The word “beast” was used several times and I thought, “No electric lawn mower could work that well!” I decided to mow my lawn several times before writing this review. Okay, I stand corrected – “IT IS A BEAST!” I forgot it was an electric lawn mower. The cut is smooth and even. The mower is easy to operate and extremely maneuverable. I don’t mind the plastic decking as this makes pushing a breeze. The motor is quiet and start-up is as simple as pushing a button and pulling back on the safety bar.I have ¾ of an acre and the 60V 5.0Ah battery life is fantastic. I usually get 1½ to 1¾ hours out of one (1) charge – usually enough to finish the mowing depending on how high the grass has become. I also have a 60V 2.0Ah battery (which powers my lawn blower) which can be used to finish up. Clean-up is easy as I can use the blower to remove accumulated grass and dust. The lawn mower’s handle easily folds up – making mower storage quick and convenient. The lawn mower comes assembled and accessories are easy to unpack. I, too, had trouble with the rear discharge hinge pin as the right side was missing. It seems to be either a design flaw or production error. The flat end is inserted from the inside out and will work itself free and catch within the frame housing. I corrected the error by removing the top housing (which can be done by removing nine [9] screws) and changing the direction of both pins to “flat side out”. This correction places the pins against the out body frame and prevents it from working loose. I shouldn’t have had to do this, but it was easier than sending the whole thing back. Problem solved! The second trouble I had was that my “power adjustment” button DOES NOT WORK. I called customer service and am still waiting for a replacement to come (it’s been over a week now). I’m stuck on “AUTO” for the present time, but that power setting works for now. Finally, be careful when inserting the battery. The battery is inserted from the top and gravity should put it into place, but if you try to force it and it doesn’t lock down the first time make sure that one of the four (4) electric contacts has not been bent! This has happened more than once and I had to take some needle-nose pliers to correct the contact orientation. The guide doesn’t always line up the contacts correctly with their respective slots.Overall, after doing my research on electric lawn mowers, I’m happy with the purchase based on price, cut, design, ease of operation and battery life!

Easy and lightweight - great price
I was surprised at the cutting ability, given the extremely low price. I bought this as an emergency backup when my larger mower failed suddenly. It cuts like a much more expensive machine! The $166 price gave me two batteries and a charger in addition to the mower itself, and the next closest competitor at Lowe's and Home Depot wanted more than that for just the batteries and charger (not including the mower). Each battery will mow a small yard (think suburban standard lots) and I was really impressed with how it cut through even high grass, which I had after my other mower broke. Very good deal.

Works good
It easy. To move around dose a good job takes two batteries to get the job done it’s narrow so you have to make more passes and the bag fills fast. My wife also loves using it because it’s light and easy to push.

Bag doesn't catch
It constantly turned off because the bag was just dumping it

Pleasantly surprised!
Admittedly when I opened the box and put it together (very easy) I thought there’s no way this little plastic toy looking thing is going to work! Almost sent it back ha! Very glad I didn’t! It is amazing. At least for me it is. I’m 5’ 5” and mower is perfect height. Feels like it weighs 5 lbs when mowing so very easy to maneuver without being self propelled. Cuts grass so easily and nicely. Lawn looks great. The actual mowing is better the my big old gas mower. It does take a few more runs through the grass as the width is smaller, but it’s so easy to use you don’t really notice that. The grass catcher is smaller so stopping more to dump. I do notice that but the easy push button start is so great I don’t mind! The old mower took 20 pulls to get started! My son is 6’ 2” and it’s too short for him. There may be a way to adjust, not sure, I just told him “ Hands off, it’s mine!” Lol! I have quite a large yard so took both batteries to do all at once. Batteries charge very quickly tho. First one was charged by the time the second one was out. I love yard work and gardening but this has made mowing fun!

My key melted :(
UPDATE- After the debacle below, the company was nice enough to send me a new mower. Which was great but these mowers are unfortunately just low quality so would recommend you spend a little more on a name brand product & don’t waste your money with this one. The mower is ok when it works but that’s not often. I can only mow a strip of grass before it dies. Battery is fully charged so it just needs to be restarted- which isn’t a huge deal at first but then it becomes more frequent & trust me…times 10-35 are really going to make you mad when you’re just trying to get the job finished. Most weeks I just give up & leave it half mowed bc it’s so incredibly frustrating. For reference I’m only mowing the back yard so not even a huge job and still have to stop every 3-4 minutes bc it just turns off. I have 2 batteries & it does it with both. Also, the “key” gets SO hot that it has literally burned me. The first mower I got (see below) the key got so hot that it melted the mower. Now that I know that, I check it about every 3rd time it dies & let it cool down a bit lol. In summary this thing is WAY more trouble than it’s worth. Pretty sure I could cut the grass with scissors & it would be less effort & take less time lol! Will keep spending ALLLL DAY mowing a small backyard for now bc I can’t afford to replace it but hope to be able to get something better before summer comes & it becomes a weekly job. Overall terribly disappointed in this product:(I really loved this mower the first 2 times I used it. It’s pretty lightweight, gives a great cut and the battery lasted long enough to mow the back yard. The 3rd mow the battery died halfway through…not a total deal breaker as I just took a rest and let it charge til the light turned green. Today (4th mow), the battery lasted thru half the front yard & when I went to push the test button on top of battery it was REALLY hot…went to remove the key and got a little shock when pulling it out to find it had melted into the base :( wouldn’t seem to go back in but will try again when everything cools down. Don’t think it’ll work without the key so not sure what to do.
