Great in low light situations
We purchased a remanufactured BenQ to use in a classroom environment. It has been a fantastic purchase. We teach at our classroom and at our clients. This projector even works in low light situations where we can't always control the amount of light in the clients rooms, and on colored walls. The ONLY downfall we have discovered is when using the HDMI cable the sound output is dramatically lower, even when using external speakers. The good news is when it is hooked up to the computer or using the old RGB cables it is fine. We have tried it with 2 different HDMI cables just to make sure and it happened with both. However, since we paid less than half the brand new price and it performs so well in low light situations I can easily look past that.We have also used it to play movies at family gatherings.

Poor
This projector was very dull, the picture is not clear. There was no remote with this package.

Great bang for the buck-I bought it refurbished
I didn't buy the BenQ for 3 D or anything--just to watch shorts in high school class. It works quite well. Seems like new, works like new. It's nice and small and easy to use. And, it cost less than half the new ones.

Top Quality Projector
I could not have found a better projector, and the affordable price was an added bonus. This projector is extremely versatile, High Definition, and even works on my non-white walls because it automatically adjusts based on what it's projected against. I don't even use televisions anymore; all I need is my Ben Q projector.

and their customer service is horrible. After doing some intensive research on the web
Buyer beware on this (and any) Benq projector. This was an expensive projector to purchase. For the price, you would expect quality and you would expect it to last. Wrong! This projector performed well for the first couple months. Then only 3 months after the warranty ran out, the EXPENSIVE DMD Chip started failing. White specs started showing up on the screen. First there were just a few, then a couple weeks later, there were a couple hundred. The DMD chip alone costs over $200 to buy, plus unless you can replace it yourself, add another $100 to $150 to pay someone to replace it. Forget talking to Benq. They don't answer the phone, and their customer service is horrible. After doing some intensive research on the web, I soon discovered that not only this model, but several models of Benq projectors have the DMD problem, usually within a few months after the warranty runs out. When it was time to open it up and replace the bulb, I was shocked at how poor the bulb housing mount was designed. The bulb is literally held in place by one tiny screw at the front, and the housing attempts to use the electrical connector at the back, to secure the back of the housing. The electrical connector cannot even be aligned properly when connecting it to the housing, and even when connected, the housing is set at an angle and is loose enough to move around at all times. You would think that for $1200 Benq could at least properly secure the bulb and housing. Even the door to access the bulb is a joke. It has three tiny plastic stubs that break off easily when you attempt to open or close it. I have over 40 years experience repairing electronic devices, but this design is by far the weakest I have seen. After replacing the EXPENSIVE DMD chip, and bulb, the projector began failing to light up, and of course, it was due to the bulb housing not being designed to be secure. I literally had to leave the access door off the projector, and wiggle the back of the bulb housing to get the projector to light up.Even a great product can have a few lemons, and this is a result of mass production. But one look under the hood of this product, and I could see that it IS NOT built to last. I highly recommend that you avoid this model, and if they built this one the way they did, what can I say about ANY model they offer?

Very good projector
I have had this projector for five years and have used it for theater size presentations and home indoor/outdoor use. Beautiful picture quality, solid projector, and the brightness is great for its price. If it had Bluetooth capability I would give it 5 stars!
