The Trekology Self-Inflating Camp Pillow is a great product! I researched and shopped for many camp pillows online before buying the black version of this one. In spite of dozens of published reviews about other pillows, I didn't like what I saw or what was described by either the professional reviewers or consumers until I stumbled upon the Trekology Camp Pillow. Seeing images of it for the first time on Amazon, I liked its design, visible features and description. I was gladdened by the fact it is a self-inflating pillow and not simply a balloon, as I liken the air mattress-type pillows. The color and compressed size were also positives for me, so was the price and the advertised lifetime warranty. I read the accompanying user reviews from the few who had already purchased the pillow from Amazon and I decided to give it a try. I've not been disappointed in my choice.Upon receiving the pillow, I saw it was exactly as pictured online. I immediately removed it from its convenient nylon slip case with draw cord fastener. It's light, maybe not the lightest pillow I could have selected, but I began tossing it in the air to get a feel for its heft. After removing the attached elastic bands, I unfurled the pillow and unscrewed the air valve, watching it inflate. Then I blew a few puffs into it to increase its capacity. I need not have; I found I had put too much air into it for my comfort. I released some of the air and laid my head upon it. It was comfortable. I have since lain upon it at night atop my camp cot and I find it's a just-right pillow for such applications.As a side-sleeper, I must convey how important it is for me to sleep with a pillow under my head. I can't rest comfortably without one. The Trekology Self-Inflating Camp Pillow does the job for me. I like the water repellent finish of the pillow, but I've used a poly-cotton cover over it for resting and sleeping because I prefer the soft feel of cotton-like fabrics. I'm very happy with the pillow thus far. I'm more impressed by Trekology's customer service, having now received multiple email communications from its owner inquiring about my satisfaction with his product. He's offered some useful tips how I might get the best use from my pillow. I greatly appreciate his personal correspondence and desire to ensure my happiness with his product. With all I've written here, I heartily recommend this pillow to prospective buyers.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is bulkier than I thought it would be. However, that's the price to pay for a self-inflating pillow. The first time out of the box it didn't inflate very much, but I store it inflated now and it puffs right up to just about the right thickness. I though it would be too small for my big head but I spent the night in my hammock with it and it was great. I ordered a second one for my daughter.

This is a great pillow for those that want a little more height for cervical support or prone to neck pain. I think I got 6 or 7 inches full inflated. Inflation is adjustable should you want something a little more stiff or something that feels more squishy. It's easy to inflate as well as deflate. Since it's rectangle and not curved like some other camping pillows that would better fit a sleeping bag, this may be something to think about if that's a deal-breaker for you. I have both and can switch to either although I prefer this one as it feels closer to a solid pillow. Recommended.

I am a truck driver and this is perfect for me so I am sure its perfect for its intended use of camping. I drive a box truck and do pickups and at times I have to wait for several hours to get loaded. This pillow is perfect because I am limited in the space in the truck and by bag. I just get it out, unscrew the valve and it starts to inflate. I love it.

Just okay.I used this when we went hiking in the Appalachian trail and I was disappointed in the comfort level it provided.You can use the nozzle to blow it up or let air out but it isn't very soft and cozy. My neck would sweat in the middle of the night because of the plastic.I do like how compact it is and it rolled up to be quite small. It beats the ground but I'd invest in a different one next time

Very nice pillows-self inflates by opening up a valve. Deflate by opening the valve again and pressing the pillow down. Squeeze out the air, roll it up, couldn't be simpler. Good construction, you can adjust the amount of air inflating the pillow-comfortable. Washable for basic stains. Purchased quite a few-one each are in my luggage, travel backpack, emergency goto backpack, variety of other backpacks and sling bags. Trekology products are well thought out, are of good-materials & -construction. RECOMMEND: Buy a few(I did).

This pillow is ok and will definitely work for your camping needs. I did exchange it for the Teton Sports pillow sold on Amazon. I prefer the Teton over the Trekology for comfort and the self inflator seems to be better. If you plan on using this pillow for camping a few times a year, I think the Trekology pillow will be more than sufficient. This pillow is great for the price!

I bought my first Trekology Self-Inflating Camping pillow in black in March of 2017 - and it works fine. This green Trekology Self-Inflating Camping pillow, purchased in July 2017, has become faulty, does not keep its air pressure and collapses. It should be returned to be exchanged for another one.Update: Trekology Self-Inflating Camping green pillow that was leaking air was returned and replaced in September 2018. It works well.
