The perfect little pocket radio
My daughter is at the age where she's getting into music listening. We wanted to get her something that worked with an without headphones, digital, and worked extremely rural. And the Runingbyte radio fit that perfectly. Its pocket sized and fits all of her bags, the reception is amazing for the area. Its tunning accuracy is exact, and picks up all local stations great. The speaker has pretty decent sound quality, and the option for wired headphone is a great addition. It has enough presets to cover all her stations and a nice wrist lanyard for carring it around. The radio is durable enough to hold up to a 6 year old, and the price is perfect for a radio she will be running around with.It does come with more features than we use. An alarm clock, sleep timer, and AM options are also included in the radio.

Good handheld radio
Nice radio. Good sound quality. I like the button lock feature. Runs on AA batteries. The plastic case seems cheap, but overall a good inexpensive radio.

A decent small digitally tuned radio for the price
This is a decent small portable radio for the price! Tuning is easy and the digital tuner keeps stations "locked in". You will never want to go back to analog tuning. The presets do not have to be re-entered when you change batteries, but the clock does. The scan function works well. Stations are not automatically saved, but can easily be stored in one of the presets (5FM, 5AM). The sound output is adequate and the volume level is saved when you turn the set off or change the batteries (a nice feature). The sound is crisp and clear; as with most small radios of this type there is not much low end (bass response) on the speaker (better on headphones). However, I thought the high frequency response was a bit limited on headphones. There is no objectionable distortion. Reception is monophonic on headphones. The AM sensitivity is poor, and reception is also marred by internally generated noise and interference. Only strong local stations are listenable and there is a "whistle" or tone on some frequencies. I only gave it 3 stars because of the poor AM performance, but that doesn't bother me because I never listen to AM stations due to the limited, poor quality program choices available. It works well on FM.

Great Reception in a hard-to-find transistor radio
It's almost impossible to find a good little transistor radio these days, but here is one that -- as the caption says -- has excellent reception. My husband likes to listen to the radio and use it as an alarm clock but the one he had -- rubber band holding it together and lousy reception -- just wasn't cutting it. When I saw this little gem I scooped it up and he's super happy with it.

Almost as good as the Sony Walkman
It is so hard to find a small radio with actual buttons you can program that has AM stations but this fits the bill. We got great reception on AM and FM.
