I used this to add airflow to the passenger side of a Polaris Slingshot and it hides very well under the black dash. The insulation on the inside is an added bonus for this application as heat is the worst enemy in a Slingshot.

This blower hose comes with a 10-foot length of 4" diameter hose and two appropriately-sized hose clamps.It is a double-thickness hose, with an aluminum interior similar to a typical flexible dryer vent hose, and a rubber-like PVC material on the exterior. The clamps are of good quality and are designed to be tightened by hand. The dual-thickness hose material should endure normal wear, but may not be robust enough to prevent punctures if it comes in contact with anything sharp. As long as it is not abused, it appears to be of sufficient quality to last quite a while under normal conditions.Good product, overall.

I have used quite a few hoses over the years for overhead fans, dryer ducting, etc. and recently saw this "coated" hose as an option. Initially passed on it for home projects because it's usually an install and forget type situation (dryer, bathroom fan, etc.), not a lot of foot traffic after install.For the boat's bilge fan, I wanted a more durable hose as it will experience some movement and manipulation while working on other systems. Since this was made by the same company as the 4inch bilge fan I recently ordered, figured it would be worth a try.Wow! The quality and durability of this hose is definitely worth it. The PVC coating is a matte black and feels rubbery. It is also flexible and quiet, unlike an uncoated hose. The hose installed on the bilge fan with some effort but did not tear when I know an uncoated aluminum hose would have. The fit was just the right amount of "snugness" where the clamps don't have to be overly tight. Granted I didn't turn the fan on with the hose installed, just to show it fits well on the fan.*The 4inch bilge fan from Better Boat moves a LOT of air, so clamps are most likely required.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and look forward to the install.

I'm using this hose to get more airflow to passengers on a converted shuttle bus. The hose is very sturdy and should last for a long time in my application. The length is great, although a little too long for my project, but even coiled it works fine.
