Fun to play with
Got this for our granddaughter for her birthday. She has really enjoyed the remote dog. She was surprised at all the moves and positions it could do as she also likes gymnastics. It has some programmable features that can be personalized that is a nice feature. Some of the sounds seem to last a little too long but I don't think that bothers her at all.

Pretty cool robo dog
This stood out to us bc it actually does a few things that I haven't seen other robot toys do. Aside from having the hand gestured, remote control, and even voice commands(which isn't available on all robots)this little doggy can make animal sounds and has music options that are more dated than others have owned and heard before. My daughter was happy it didn't have the same sounding nursery type rhymes if that makes sense! I like how the battery can be recharged and can be removed from the bottom.of the dog with the click of a button and not have to be unscrewed every single time. The voice of the dog is quite unique as well. To be honest, at first it was cute but after just a few days of it I must admit it has gotten a bit obnoxious. It's a bit overboard on the excitement and kind of hard to understand. I mean no disrespect and I get wanting to be enthusiastic for the kids, however the difficulty in pronunciation in combination with over excitement just really wore on me faster than I expected it to. As a mother of three I have learned to endure quite a bit of noise too. With that being said, I want to be clear it isn't a deal breaker. We still like it. It's a great friend for my kiddos to have, she does all the same moves and commands as most other robots (if you have had one, you have had them all) with a couple added features . This toy is made very well as in the remote control works great, voice commands are followed, and th sensors for the hand gestures will definitely pick up the motion bring made and the overall design is what I have come to expect buying my 3rd child their first robot. It's difficult to find anything different in the age rage of about 5-14 year Olds which has been kind of disappointing BUT if the right age, this is a great option, especially as a first, and I will add, has been my overall favorite out of the 3 I have bought over the years. It's a bit high on the price but they all range in this area if you want one that is built well. Make sure you can hear the voice on the video the add offers so you will know if it is tolerable before buying bc dheabsolutely speaks nonstop when in use! Definitely silly and cute though

Little Kids Love It
Just like many toys made for children, this is annoying at times for adults. However, we've yet to find a child that doesn't love it or gets sick of it. Children seem to like repetition and annoying voices more than adults do in general it seems. Nonetheless, the grandkids love this robot toy and it gets lots of play time.

Great for those inquisitive minds
Using this robot along with stem has helped my son learn basic programming concepts, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of robotics. The integration of STEM principles provided a hands-on learning experience that enhanced his creativity, coordination, and confidence.

Maybe not for the younger ones
Unfortunately, the SWATOW Remote Control Robot Dog did not live up to expectations, especially for younger children like toddlers. Here’s why:Inappropriate Music (2/5)One of the biggest issues is the selection of songs the robot dog plays. While some of the tunes may be popular on the radio, they aren’t necessarily appropriate for young children. For example, songs like “Uptown Funk” and “Shape of You” have lyrics or themes that may not be suitable for toddlers. It’s concerning to have a toy marketed for young children playing music with content that parents might find questionable. I expected more kid-friendly, age-appropriate songs, but this aspect made me hesitant to let my toddler play with the toy unsupervised.Limited Programming Features (3/5)While the robot dog is programmable, the functions are quite limited. The movements are basic, and after a short time, the novelty wears off. The dog does respond to commands, but it doesn’t seem to follow through consistently, which can frustrate younger kids.Durability (3/5)The build quality feels a bit flimsy. After just a few uses, some parts like the legs and ears started to feel loose. For a toy that’s supposed to be interactive and used regularly, I expected it to be more durable.Entertainment Value (3/5)While the pink design is cute and visually appealing for young girls, the overall entertainment value falls flat. Once the initial excitement of the dog’s tricks and commands fades, there’s not much else to keep kids engaged. Plus, the repetitiveness of the songs can get annoying quickly.Overall (2.5/5)The SWATOW Remote Control Robot Dog is cute but ultimately disappointing. The music choices are not appropriate for toddlers, and the toy lacks enough interactive features to keep kids engaged long-term. For the price, I expected something more durable and child-friendly. Parents of young children might want to look elsewhere for a more suitable interactive toy. Not a great value for the money.
