As I've grown older, and become less able to 'hold on', I've often thought about buying a urine bottle to keep in my car, in case of an emergency. But with so many of the rigid plastic type available, I haven't known which to choose - or how I would use one, should the need arise.I make several 300-miles-each-way journeys (mostly on motorways) every year to care for an 88 years old uncle, and for my 90 years old mother not quite so far away. I've been held up many a time - needing to 'spend a penny' and unable to do anything about it. Fortunately I've never been stuck for many, many, hours, but I've always dreaded the day that I am.Now, with these emergency urine bags, I feel much happier undertaking these journeys, though I'm still not quite sure how I'd manage to use one (if I absolutely have to). But, they are always useful to keep in the car when transporting grandchildren who always want to go at the most inopportune moment. I've given a couple of the bags to my sister to keep in her car because she's of the same vintage as me. Of course, these bags could always be used a 'sick bags' too.I've turned one bag inside out to see how they're made, and am happy that they will hold, and soak up, a reasonable volume of liquid. Inside, there is a fairly think absorbent pad, which is folded at the bottom and reaches up each side, and this is held in place by a piece of mesh fabric attached at each side to the top. A blue polythene tie-top bag is also included for each used urine bag, to facilitate disposal. With no 'use by' date, these urine bags will probably last me for years and, if never used, they are worth buying just for peace of mind.

Easy to use, for a man, and easy and discreet to dispose of in a trash can.

Good product but the size of the mouth is very big. It was good if its a men size to cover. The urine spills while using it and its very hard to adjust.

Im not one to leave reviews at all but...Having used the brilliant travel johns at festivals and the huge price increase of them, thought I'd give these a go.Thank goodness I tried one at home.Absolutely useless !It's a huge struggle to keep them open they're just so flimsy I ended up with wet legs.Then they Absolutely do not close so, you're left with a bag of urine in one hand you cannot put down as it spills, trying to re dress yourself with the other handNear impossible without spilling.They are not absorbant at all ! Absolutely not.Even having grabbed a jug (who has anything to hand to put bag of urine in, in a tent or wherever? ) after hours still full of liquid.Left overnight... Still loads of liquid.So then how and where do you dispose of a bag of fluid.Do not waste your money as a previous reviewer said" your better off using a bog standard plastic bag to pee in for free"I totally agree.Completely useless and not cheap. Bought these as an emergency due to a bed ridden bf as their back had gone. Had used in the past a similar item when at festivals & bought this because it appeared to be better value. Unfortunately these do not close or zip up once you use it & they do not solidify quick enough to worry about any spillages. Continued to use as I was able to get rid of waste after use. But it really depends on what your buying them for as to whether they will be suitable for your needs.
