I've wanted a molcajete for years and years. Most of the ones available to me were too tiny to get anything done. This is a heavy-duty workhorse. I was a bit concerned by the sharp edges on the feet but they provide a rubberized mat to set it on that keeps it from slipping and keeps it from scratching the surface of whatever it's on. It works well and I made my first authentic guacamole with fantastic results. Great price point too. Highly recommend.

The size is exactly what I wanted. And couldn't be happier.

I love serving my homemade guacamole in this. It's not only functional, but in my opinion, it's beautiful and I leave it on my counter when not in use. The first thing I did when I got this is grind raw white rice in it to remove any residue grit. I only rinse it with water, never soap. Sometimes I'll use white vinegar to clean it, then rinse with water.

The granite mortar and pestle set is a great gift for anyone, it is larger in height than the picture shows, and my cousin will enjoy using this set.

Smaller than expected

Perfect size and weight, looks good on my counter. I use it for whole spices mostly, better flavor if you grind them yourself. The vertical cuts on the inside really help, and it comes with a nice rubber pad to set it on.

The media could not be loaded. I used it to make guacamole. I like that it is wide enough and one avocado can easily be smooshed in it. I use it all the time to grind my spices. It is quite heavy and I can feel the roughness of the granite, it is Not polished. I like that it comes with the rubber mat; it absorbs the shock during grinding.
