MerrellWomen's Antora 3 Hiking Shoe

I found these trainers very comfy from the outset, no blisters or rubbing and plenty of width in my usual size 5.

These shoes are amazing for walking - the slight stiffness means I can go all day without my feet getting tired. They are very grippy on all surfaces and a nice fit for wide feet. They also look great and somehow make my legs look better.I have this shoe in two versions – Gore-Tex and without Gore-Tex. I run quite hot so for me the non-Gore-Tex are so much better. They are much more breathable. Sometimes in the Gore-Tex version my feet get so hot I start worrying about fungal infections.

These shoes look great. The 'Highrise' colour is a darker grey-blue in real life (it looks pale teal in the pics), which is lovely. I ordered by normal shoe size (eg Clarks) and it was perfect. Loads of width and very airy. Decent toe stub protection. I was concerned how durable the knitted upper would be. I was wanting these shoes for light hiking but felt they weren't stable enough for that. They are very cushioned in the arch and heel, less in the toes, which felt a bit weird but that might just me not being used to running shoes. If they felt more stable, or if I just wanted them for around town, I would definiteky have kept them.

My wife ordered these for walking in the countryside,and found them comfortable if slightly large for her size.The thing that put her off is the fact the insoles are not removable,glued in.This means if the shoes get wet,or feet sweat there is no way to be able to dry them effectively. Have used many other brands of walking shoe and this has never been an issue. Returned to Amazon for a refund.

Beware! There are 2 versions of this shoe, one with Goretex and one without. Although the description for this one says it has Goretex, it doesn't. (Look for Antora GTX) I'm very disappointed as in other respects this is a great shoe that I found supportive and comfortable.

I can run around all day in these without my feet getting sore, and they look cute and not clunky. Love them!

I have bought so many Merrill trail shoes and this is one of my favorites. I love the fit and I like that it is not a crazy color. I have hiked/walked several miles in them daily for the past several months and they feel great. They are light weight and honestly do not hurt my feet anywhere which is hard to find sometimes. I will hit the mountains with them this summer and I am sure they will be perfect. I like that they have small grip on the bottom to keep you from sliding around on gravel and rock. Only downside, they will get muddy quick. Oh well! Great shoe for price. I put a lot of miles on my shoes so I can usually wear them for 8 months and then time for new pair. We will see with these.

Style and comfort are bringing in the complements every time I wear. Purchased for travel to and waking on Portugal, they exceeded my expectations, turning into my favorite choice for everyday walking.

Great shoe runs big get a full size smaller if you don't have wide feet.
