ZaniesBungies Gecko Dog Toys, Orange, 16"–24"

I bought this toy because my dog spent a week playing with the same toy from Zanies that belonged to a visiting dog. My dog was very gentle with this toy, which he loved, so we decided to find one for him. The toy that arrived had no Zanies label and missing plush on the bottom where the label should have been, plus other bare spots in the area that showed the white mesh beneath. It also had a long thread at the joint of a rear leg so I knotted it at the joint and clipped it to prevent my dog from pulling at it but it's apparent that the sewing is loose and wont last long. The color was also much lighter than the toy he'd been playing with that belonged to the guest dog but I figured it might just be from a different dye lot (it was not bought at Amazon but their local pet store.) I am not convinced this is a real Zanies toy. There were two labels in French and it said it was made in China. I am returning this toy and will get a replacement and see how it looks. If it seems like it will fall apart or is not the real thing I will return it immediately. If it has a label and is in good shape and sewn well at the seams I'll revise this review.

Wow, my dog isn't real destructive but there was something about this Gecko that was completely irresistible to my Border Collie. She ripped into to this thing and completely unstuffed it in under 20 minutes. The squeaker was the first to come out followed by the rest of the stuffing. But it was super cheap and it was fun watching the pleasure she took in ripping it to shreds.

I have been selling and gifting pet toys for a really long time. One of my best items are these Zanies Bungee Gecko Dog Toys. I was in a pinch and needed another Lime Green one but did not have time to wait for my vendor to reopen after the holidays so I ordered this one on Amazon. Imagine my surprise when I opened the parcel to find that the toy was NOT Lime Green in color but some horrid shade of pine green. I really hate being misled by photos and descriptions, especially when I need a specific item. Very disappointing.

This toy look cute but isn't worth buying.My Labrador puppy is not excessively rough on toys.Since it has an elastic inside I supposed that was ok to play tug-of-war with it. The bad part is that unlike other toys that may rip during this kind of play,this gecko didn't only split at the seams,but the actual furry material ripped too (it looked like the one in the photo posted by another customer ) after only about ten minutes of tug-of-war.I don't know if it will be ok for a very small dog, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I don't normally 'like' dog products made in China. This one seems to be well made, and the squeakers are easy enough for my dog to get to. She's going nuts over it as I type. I know she's had other toys made in China (NEVER treats or food), and my underwear and socks come from there... so fabric things are among the things I will at least give a chance. They do say non-toxic (I'm guess referring to the dyes and stuffing). I didn't feel anything weird in the stuffing (it's polyfill- nothing 'crumbly'). And, like I said, my goofy 18 month old mini-schnauzer is having a ball with it. I also got one for my bio-mom's smaller rescue dog who is visiting next week; another toy for the larger rescue she got. I wouldn't give them anything I wouldn't give mine, so got her one as a 'test drive'.... so far so good. I did cut the tag off of my dog's toy, as those are the first thing she tears apart, and I don't think she needs that type of fiber ;)

My dog is a border collie. She loves chewing, fetching, tug of war and catch. The first day we had this toy she chewed off two of the feet. I didn't give it much of a life span. Two weeks later she chewed off a third foot. Miraculously no stuffing was exposed. It has now been a month and the toy is still going strong, albeit with one foot! She loves it.It is now June 1st. It has been almost three months and I am retiring the toy. It no longer has any feet and the tail has been ripped open and stuffing is coming out. All in all I think I got my money's worth from this toy. I ordered another one. She still loves it!

This is a great toy!!! My dog has lots of toys. But one of the problems is he has trouble getting the squeaker to squeak. He's an 18 lb terrier mix, and those squeakers are just elusive. Breaks my heart.This one, though, the squeakers (there are two) are in small areas (head and tail), that are easy for him to get his whole mouth around and squeak. They also don't move, which also makes them easy to squeak.So he's been squeaking up a storm since he got this!Other plusses:* The material is great (soft, furry material, that seems to be of good quality).* The toy expands and contracts, which is fun.* It's pleasant to look at.All in all, I'd say this is one of the best dog toys I've ever bought for my dog. Highly recommended!

My dogs absolutely LOVE it! Great for playing tug especially! My dogs love it so much I’ve boughg a couple more already so they each have one and don’t have to take turns. I bought the larger one which I feel is a perfect size for all my dogs (Yorkie, Dachshund, large breed mix dog, and Pomeranian) as well as including my new puppy that is only 1 pound, because the toy stretches so it’s a great size for them to play with even when not being tugged on. The larger size also has 2 squeakers which they enjoy too.
