aFe 10-10106 Magnum FLOW Pro 5R OE Replacement Air Filter for Porsche Boxster S H6-3.4L Engine

I originally bought a K&N filter, but it was a struggle getting the damn thing in there so after a day of messing around with it I finally decided to return it, and purchase the aFe filter. I've owned the aFe filter for about 3 months now and it hasn't given me any trouble what so ever. Installation was a breeze, and the fit was perfect. On top of the easy installation the sound of my car has been amplified and doesn't sound muffled like it did with the OEM filter.

Was originally going to purchase a K&N air filter for my 987 Cayman S, but after reading reviews about the nightmare of installing it, I decided to give the aFe filter a try. Obviously very well constructed and the installation was a piece of cake. With the engine cover already off, I had the old filter out and the aFe filter in in less than 5 minutes. Can't speak to its long-term comparison to the K&N, but I highly recommend this air filter for the 987 Boxster/Cayman. It's pricey, yes, but the workmanship and the ease of installation make it worth the price hike over the K&N for sure.

Well-made although expensive...got what I paid for though. Dropped right into my Porsche very tight airbox. Metal screen wrap helped me feel secure in not damaging it whilst coaxing it into a German engineered box that you have to physically deflect to do the install. Seals on end are soft and pliable making for what seems like a great seal. Did put a dab of K&N air filter grease on it.

Filter is worth every penny. I first purchased a K&N filter for my Porsche Cayman and now know why it was on sale. The AFE is better quality and the expanded metal that protects the filter material itself is a much better design than the first POS I bought.
