Fast shipping. Received next day. I replaced the water inlet valve in my Kenmore refrigerator 2 years ago but noticed the water pressure has slowed alot and then 2 days ago it just quit flowing. Ordered this replacement and swapped it out in 10 minutes. 7 Philips screws ( 6 for back cover, 1 for valve mount) and a crescent wrench for the water line. Walla, great water pressure and flow again. It's common these inlet valves go bad every couple of years especially if you have high water pressure or hard water. I have both but for the price and ease of replacement im not complaining. Recommend replacing charcoal water filter in fridge after install. Definitely beats paying $100 for brand name replacement.

My LG French Door Model LFX25973ST/05 uses this valve in combination with an additional valve.
First of all, the AJU72992601 valve replaces AJU73432801. They function and look the same but the 601 is newer. Second, My LG fridge is model LFX25973ST/05 and uses a combination of the AJU72992601 valve and another valve part number MJX61892901 for a total of 3 solenoids instead of the 2 on the AJU72992601 valve. That is because my fridge has 3 tubes coming out of the valve assembly into the fridge for the two ice makers and the water dispenser. I was having limited success finding a valve assembly to accommodate the 3 tubes. The parts supply stores were confused, at best and when I did find the assembly, it was priced at $134. I bought the AJU72992601 valve from OEM Mania for $36 on Amazon. Then I purchased a MJX61892901 valve online for $54 and joined them together using the bracket from my original water valve. The result was a valve assembly just like my original but $45 cheaper. And that doesn't consider the money I saved from OEM Mania over other prices I found for the AJU72992601 valve. So if you have an LG fridge with the model # LFX25973ST/05 (note the 05 suffix) then consider this approach. And maybe you could even use your old MJX61892901 valve instead of a new one, depending on the issue you are having. That would save you even more money. Hats off to OEM Mania for offering this well priced valve.

Important
I am more mechanically inclined than most, tho occaisionly I get it wrong. The water just stopped flowing. I had two thoughts when I started to really think about it. Kink in the water line to the refrigerator. Two, Something electronically quit working. It was easy to determine the refuge was getting water. But I couldn't determine if water was getting past the valve. I was able to get the valve to sound like it was working. At first I didn't think it was the valve. Really didn't want to pay for new water hoses that go on the refrigerator. What convinced me was doing research and finding out that if water stops going to the ice make, its most likely the valve. Its the only piece which has complete control. As far as replacing the valve. It was easier than I thought it was gonna be. two plugs. I did have to take the metal arm off the old and put it on the new one to work. I did cut the water line leading from the old valve and had just enough length to connect to the new valve and get it back into its place. Now this may not be the case for everyone. Of which you may want to buy the refrigerator waterlines and connectors to replace the valve. This may not make sense to the average person. Those connectors are a one time shot. Not talking the incoming water line. talking about the out going line from the valve. I probably paid way to much for this model go refrigerator but I'm happy with its performance overall. had it for at least 8years.

LG Refrigerator LFX25960ST
This valve which is one of two on this model fridge and on back where the water feed comes in. Our ice maker quit filling with water and THIS was the correct valve to fix the problem. I did also have to remove the “flow meter” that came with the valve because it wasn’t needed. Also it might not look like it’ll plug into the plug area as it’s a single plug unlike the ones you’ll unplug which are two single wiring plugs. It’ll work just keep trying every way possible. Totally fixed our problem. I also had changed the solenoid valve in the door under our ice maker which did NOT fix the filling the ice maker with water problem and unfortunately tried this first BEFORE buying this valve that goes on the bottom where water enters the fridge first. Hope this helps someone else with these problems because seriously who wants to go back to trays for ice. Our fridge is 17 years old and still kickin hip hip who ray! Thank you OEM MANIA 😊
