A Heart Melting Romance Like No Other
Number 1 bestselling writer, Sherryl Woods, has done it once again. he has beautifully cpautred the heart and life of a family. Showing readers that no matter what obstacles come our way and try dragging us down, our family is always there waiting if we need them and their help. Sometimes it even takes a grandpa who is determined to help on of his grandkids to find her way in their small home town. But there's always a time when grandkids need time to figure things out on their own. Stubborness doesn't just exist in our real world but also in the lives of these heart melting characters whom Sherryl Woods has stunningly brought to life. Willow Brook Road is definitely a must read for all. Readers won't ever want to leave this magical family oriented place. Once you read it, you won't be able to put the novel down.Willow Brook Road is a novel that hooks readers instantly and lures them deep into its charming family life. But not all is perfect in this beautiful gorgeous town. One couple tried private adoption and were ready to greet a baby girl into their family life only for the mother to decide to keep her. The wife has been wanting a kid of her own so badly that her husband and friends are worried about her. Will they get their happy little ending? Then there's the Carrie. A granddaughter of the Mack O'Brien. A large family that know exactly what they want and go after it. However, Carrie hasn't met a successful career and happiness like those in her family and after having fallen in love with the wrong man she is trying to find out what she wants do and what she wants in life. But, her grandfather Mack, is pursing her like a greyhound on a hunt. He wants to help her and push her in the right direction. So Carrie ends up ignoring her grandfather until she has the answers they both want. That's not all that happens in the most exciting romance novel by Sherryl Woods! There's also a new comer who finds out that he has been granted legal custody of his young nephew. Both are suffering from the lost of the little boys parents. The uncle has to learn quickly how to be the best parent for his nephew and worries he may fail at it..and then by chance of fate he meets Carrie. From there on the novel get's juicier and juicer. The romance is so huge, I was surprised the story didn't burst into flames wile reading it. The characters are real and down to earth. They all have their own issues and go on their own little journeys to discover what they want in their lives and how to continue living with what they have or will have. I found Willow Brook Road to be the most inspiring romance novel ever. I truly appreciate a well developed story with characters whose stories will tug at one's heart. Overall, I loved reading it and I highly recommend this to readers worldwide. I rate it a five out of five stars.

REPETATIVE AND BORING
I was looking forward to reading this book hoping for a different type of romance, but I lucked out. I won’t give the story away, but how many times is needed to tell the sad story of what happened to Bobby. How many times do we have to read how hard it is for his uncle to take care of him. How many time do we have to read that Cassie is trying to put her life back together. And how many times do we have to read about her meddling family.. over and over. I got so frustrated with this drivel, I finally gave up and deleted it from my library. Please, and award winning author certainly can do better.

It was nice to see some of the characters returning
Sherryl Woods brings us back to the Chesapeake Shores with Willow Brook Road. This time, it's the next generation's turn to get the meddling Mick treatment. It was nice to see some of the characters returning, though the secondary story was just too sad to be truly enjoyable.I do want to say one thing that is bugging me about this series: It seems like the ages of the children increase faster than seems should be real. It feels soap opera like in that one minute a child might be seven, then he's a senior in high school. And age differences seem to be forgotten. I'm probably being nit-picky, but it does nag at me.Otherwise, the trip back is nice.

How to adjust to instant parenthood.
A familiar small town setting, a great grandmother, grandparents and their children and cozens who are friends from earlier books, and the next generation with their mates, loves, friends and children. Sheryl Woods has provided us with that and a lot more. She has written a book that explores the love life brings, but also the pain and sense of defeat that is also a part of life.If the characters in this book are a little too optimistic, if the solutions are a little pat, I didn't care. I love the town, the sense of caring - even when anger pushes them, and the unwanted advice. The love and support is so real that I wanted to pull it into myself, even if for the duration of this novel. I am sure I'll reread this story the next time I'm discouraged by someone or even by life itself.

A Heartwarming Story!
I just love reading about the O'Briens. I would love to live in Chesapeke Shores and every time I read one of the books I feel like I am right there in the town. Mick's granddaughter Carrie comes back home to try to figure out what to do with her life since it did not work out in France.Sam comes to town for his new job and his sister and her husband die in a car accident leaving him with guardianship over his 5 year old nephew Bobby. Carrie and Sam keep getting thrown together and the sparks are there. But will things work out for them. Mack and Susie also have their own set of problems they need to work through. The book is full of dreams and problems. Can the problems be solved and everyone's dreams come true. Read the book to find out. I loved every minute of the book and hated to see it end.

A place that I would like to visit
I am not going to outline the plot or the characters as this has been well done by many reviewers. I would just like to say that this is the first Sheryl Woods book that I can remember reading. It is a charming, old-fashioned book that I truly appreciated. I enjoyed getting to know the characters in this town and felt like it was a place that I would love to visit. Carrie, the heroine, seemed like a very nice person and one that anyone would like to know. However, I really didn't bond with her like I did with Sam. From the very first, I felt for Sam and his confusion/love/terror for his recently bereaved young nephew. I loved how the relationship between Sam and Carrie unfolded slowly and cautiously and didn't resort to the "love at first sight" and "immediate sex" that too many books are now calling romance. Too many times when the "hot romance" book ends I am left wondering how long the couple will actually be together. With this book, you somehow know that the answer to that question will be....forever.For those who wish to know: No sex scenes and no improper language

One of the best books in the Chesapeake Shores series
This is one of the best books in Sherryl Woods Chesapeake Shores series.Carrie isn't sure what to do with her life since she came home from Paris after falling in love with her fashion designer boss who didn't return her feelings and used her. Sam is given custody of his Nephew after the tragic and untimely death of his Sister and Brother-In-Law. The 2 meet and after misunderstandings and fireworks they realise there may be a future for them both.Coupled with Mack and Susies story about adopting, the book has lots of twists and turns. Its the O'Briens at their very best and a story not too be missed.I really hope there will be another book in the series on the horizon, as well as a TV series as these books would make great TV.

Gentle read
Gentle pleasant read. No heat or bad language. I wasn't bored but it is a book you can easily pick up and put down. Has a gentle pace. I wasn't aggravated by it. A few typos e.g. Mack gets called Sam.
