Will never use anything else! new favorite gadget!
Simply the BEST apple corer. It is sharp but not dangerous, looks like it will last a million years. Nothing on it to break and The 2 piece design means I can stab the apple and then insert the plunger to remove the core from the tube. Perfection. HIGH quality for a great price.

the best one so far
terrific for coring apples; to make removing cores easier, wet both pieces before using ( not the handles)

Nice Corer could use serrated cutting edge
It's a nice corer but the smooth cutting edge leaves something to be desired particularly for women who don't have too much strength in their hands. If you hit a tough core you need Schwarzenegger fingers to force it through. The clean-out plug works nice. The tubular design makes this unit a nice strong corer. We'll have to take it up into the shop and file some teeth into the cutting edge else we have to do the coring for mama. That edge would make an immense difference in the performance of this other-wise nicely designed corer.

Remove the core
The apple corer was fine. It works like it is supposed to. This is my second one. I use it frequently on my apples.

Bought to replace a very old one that finally broke. Perfect!
Super excited to find another corer like this! I had one just like it from around 1999/2000, used it pretty regularly, our five kids have all used it a ton, and we’ve always placed it in the top rack of the dishwasher so it’s not like we treated it “gently” or with extra care. It was a regularly used kitchen utensil and well loved. After probably 500+ runs through the dishwasher and maybe 5-10 drops on the floor throughout the years, the plastic ring at the top of the metal tube was getting old, brittle, & starting to crack. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt so I started looking for a replacement. WHY is this style so hard to find?? I have a 3-in-1 peeler/corer/slicer which we use for pie, a slicer/corer which is great for an easy snack when the kids want sliced apples (as opposed to a whole one, especially when they have loose teeth or braces) & gets used a ton, but this corer is a staple gadget for us! When the kids don’t want their apple sliced but don’t want to be left holding a core, or if they don’t want to have to eat down far enough to find the core & waste more of the apple, this is our go-to tool. Even our kids are experts at using it from age 5 & up. It fits so easily in the dishwasher (we’ll only put it in the third rack now, the extra silverware rack at the very top) so this one will be exposed to a little less in terms of the dishwasher exposure. I expect it to last just as long as our first one, but if it lasts even half as long then I’ll be thrilled because it’s small & easy to store but also inexpensive so it wouldn’t bother me to replace it every ten years if I need to! We LOVE this corer and so do the kids.

love this apple corer
I already had an apple corer like this that I purchased for much more at one of those home parties. This one is just as good and saved me money. So easy to use and pushes the core out easily. My husband will only eat apples if cored and this one is awesome.

Disappointed
Don't buy this. It does not sustain heat from your dishwasher. This is the fourth one I've gone through. And no matter where I put it in my dishwasher, it melts every time. So do not waste your money on this item. If it was made of steel or some kind of treated plastic, that doesn'lt, that would be different. But it is, not, and it's worthless, it's not worth the money. Very disappointed, unless you want to hand wash all your dishes.

Works, but metal is too thin, no longetivity
Want to like, but after a year of light use the metal is already deforming and will likely not last for much longer. Would guesstimate that metal should have been twice as thick as what it current is.
