I found the clamp that holds the tablet in is very tight but that being said it’s hard to put a larger tablet in the stand. The stand is flexible but it’s very ridged, once’s it’s in a position it can feel like your about to break it just trying to move it a little bit. I thought it would be more bendy and less metaly. This is good for a desk, somewhere where you can leave it up to look at the screen contents. If you are going to be touching the screen and moving the angle of the stand around a lot, they’re may be better products out there.It’s not the most versatile but it gets the job done. I used it with an IPad 9th generation, it fit no problem with a larger case on it.

Bought this for my switch but the holder is over 4 inches. Went to a Best Buy,GameStop, and target but there are no 4 inch ball mount tablet or phone holders. Most phone holders limit at 3.5” and tablets begin at 4.5”. I considered getting a ram mount at my motorcycle dealer but they run around 50$. I went to the local Home Depot and found 3M command brand, damage free hanging, 16 lb, large hanging picture strips in the hardware aisle. It connects like Velcro and has an adhesive strip on the back. For four extra dollars I was able to make this stand hold my switch upside down for one hour tested. This is a first day use review but there are 8 strips included so I will take the risk. For fitment questions, I have a blue- red gradient protective case that fits in the standard dock. The hanging strip did not alter the fitment in any noticeable way but I bought the slimmest protective case. For 4$ Additional this is a great little accessory.

It wobbles a bit with use. At first I had it on my treadmill, and then I attached it to the window frame, but even on the window frame, it shakes just a bit, and I can't watch anything while running. For my needs, something attached firmly to the wall would be better.

Updated Review - I've updated my rating to 4/5 Stars. The manufacture, Tryone, reached out to me apologizing for the defective product and offered to make it right with a refund or a replacement. Since I was looking for a replacement anyway I took them up on the offer for a new product. I'm very pleased that they took the initiative to make things right without me having to go through a warranty process. I hope the 2nd mount lasts longer and the issues with the first one were just a one off defect. Got this fast! It is a nice product. Really stiff! It holds in place like it says it does. This is a great product to get for your office or just home. I got it to put on my bed so I could be comfortable when I use my fire 7. I really like that it has a large opening to attach it to different things. The only thing I would like to see change is that it has a adjustable tablet/phone head holder. One that can be screwed/ratchet by hand to the size of your larger tablets. Worth the money to buy! I will be buying a couple for my Grandkids for Christmas. A better product then some of the other ones I got!! Will get this product again! There is some bouncing but not bad. Tried hanging it off ceiling, works great too. But, couldn't quite reach it to start and stop movie. Need a little longer neck on it for that. I also take this to craft shows and let my fire 7 play with my product on it!! People are amazed with this holder they ask about it all the time.

I have to agree with one of the other reviewers below....it’s embarrassing how much I love my gooseneck stand. I use my iPad more than the average joe. I’ve especially become accustom to using it to help me fall asleep when I find myself traveling on business. Given my high stress profession, I started using it more and more at home as a means to ‘shut off my brain’ when falling asleep. My biggest challenge is I am a back sleeper with a nagging neck issue. Trying to balance my iPad became a nightly source of aggravation. Finding this tablet holder was a godsend. I’ve attached it to my headboard and can easily watch YouTube or listen to podcasts in complete luxury without bothering my husband. It’s easy to travel with and sturdy enough to give me confidence with my screen looming over my head as I sleep. This is my third purchase as they make the perfect gift people don’t yet realize they need!

UPDATE 9/20/20: Been using the stand for a while now, always made sure not to twist the metal in the arm too much out of shape, as it would wear itself down. Not to screw the clamp on too tight, in order to keep the plastic from snapping. I went to adjust it this morning and the metal on the inside snapped so it useless. When you trying to check warranty information from Amazon it just go to a page telling you to contact the manufacturer. Been trying to contact the manufacturer and after an hour of research I'm still unable to find any sort of email or phone number. Really liked this thing, unfortunately changing my original review from 5/5 to 1/5 because the build quality wasn't what I thought it was.Original Review 02/11/20: I love this phone/tablet stand!! I use it with my Pixel 4 XL all the time. It's sturdy and doesn't wobble that much, also love the fact the bottom is open so you can plug phone in while in use, totally recommend!

I bought this so i could mount my ipad above my dual monitor setup so i could use the ipad to join video calls while keeping my monitors free and using the camera and mic of the ipad.The clamps are the only thing i would ding this product for because they are both plastic and i'm concerned how well they will stand up over time. With that said, when you are adjusting the gooseneck, be sure to grab the neck itself to get everything into place, else you could easily break the clamps as the neck is very stiff.Once i got everything positioned and tightened down, it's working just the way i needed. I have the ipad at the optimum height and angle for my purposes.

The neck broke after just 2 months of very moderate use. I definitely would not recommend this product.
