Best boot!
Worn daily for work and military and they have lasted me 3 years. Only reason I purchased a new pair was for a hunting trip as the old pair still has a little life left in them.

Durable and Comfortable Longest Lasting
This is me: A hardworking guy that's been cut off from replacement boots by nearly every modern boot company- true story. I've paid for very expensive, mid tier and even some low priced boots; and none have held up like these Rocky SV2.I've waited years to post this review. I'll put pictures of the maltreated pair complete with paint splatter. I've had to replace the insole multiple times over the years. These boots have worked in the heat of Florida, cold of the Midwest and points between. Have worn them over 24 hours straight on concrete floors many times. Have ran, hiked, weight lifted, worked from footings to rooftop ridges and these are always ready. They have aged, there's separation at the leather and sides of the sole where they attach, yet it's cosmetic and they still have their integrity.I've read other reviews and this is my experience, your mileage may vary and maybe I just got a special pair. The only boots that ever came close were the original Herman Survivors made in Poland nearly 2-decades ago and a pair of Matterhorns.I'd love to have had goretex, but again for how they're made, they performed the best.If you purchase a pair I hope that you have a similar experience. Please work safe, efficiently, enjoy the process and God Bless.

17 year-old wears these HARD, all day everyday! Tough, comfy boots!!
I bought these boots for my 17 year-old son 7 months ago. As a frequent Amazon buyer I can say I still get intimated by purchases such as this where the price point is high and the selection and features of the item are many. I was nervous spending this much money on boots, online.Let me tell you, this was a SUPER purchase!!My son wore these from day one, really with no break-in period. He started wearing them everyday to school and throughout the evening. He's working for a construction/remodeling company for the summer where he could choose to wear tennis shoes instead of these boots, and he chooses the boots. He raves about their comfort. In 7 months we've had not one flaw or malfunction with these boots. Soles and uppers are still in great condition. My son is a very active kid and has put these boots through a lot of tough use. They seem to repel stains well and are extremely well constructed. If/when the time comes we will get him another pair.Last week my husband decided to get a pair for himself so we ordered a pair for him too. I'm very happy these boots are made in the USA!! My only complaint is in the 7 months since we purchased my son's pair the price has gone up $50!!! This may be seasonal since we bought one pair in the winter and the other in summer. Either way, we were so pleased with the quality and comfort of these boots that we paid it.

Great Boots!!!
I had previously tried the goretex version of these boots and they were a bit large. I'm a large man, 6'5" and about 350 lbs and my feet are somewhat odd shaped and I have a hard time finding boots that are not only wide enough, but also not too big. My left foot measures for a 12.5 shoe and my right for a 12. Unfortunately I cannot wear most 12 wide boots, but a lot of companies dont make a 12.5 available in their boots. Enter the Rocky S2v boots. Not only do they come in a 12.5, but its a perfect fit. It's snug without being restrictive or binding. The sole is a cup sole so your foot sits in the sole not on top of it, also a great feature for someone like me who goes through a pair of boots every 8 months because of poorly constructed boots and quite frankly bad decisions in quality footwear. These have been around for several years and I can definitely see myself wearing these on and off duty as long as they are available. That being said, they are a bit heavy. I know with all the "lightweight" tactical boots out there that the choices are vast. Do yourself and your feet a favor and try these out. Quality boots are always worth the extra cost in the long run and these are definitely high quality and made in the USA. I will be ordering these in black as well to wear on duty.

Great Tread and properly fit boot
Overall this product was well described, fit my needs, and held up well. I purchased these as an edition to my footwear for an army field exercise. After wearing them for a month in the field I noticed some minor fraying around the stitching from the sole on the inside of the foot. This is the only reason for a 4 star review. If not for the poor stitching this would be a well deserved 5of5. I purchased the boots and started wearing them two days later. There was no real break in period. I wore standard black boots sock. They did not rub or leave hot spots on my feet. I did not get blisters and my feet stayed moderately dry for a guy that usually has hot feet. The tread is wonderful on this product and I can see them lasting much longer. If I have to purchase another boot this will be my go to.

16hrs a day good boots !
This will be my second pair of boots I work in construction and these boots are simply impressive I work 12hrs Monday - Friday and I am currently remodeling my house so I typically spend 16+ hrs a day in these boots up and down ladders on concrete floors and I will also mention that I do a lot of hiking hunting and fishing in these boots they are super light weight breathable and durable 8 months and 16 hr days I’m not easy on footwear but these have held up the best thus far I’ve ordered my second pair the only improvement I would LOVE see is I loop on the back to pull them on with hence the 4 star not five

Long break in, long lasting
Just a heads up the break in for these Is no joke. I guess long lasting boots are more stubborn breaking in? I used them dry for 3 months and they still hurt my feet and crunches my toes. But after 4 days of repeatedly getting them wet and hiking around they now fit really well and appears that they will last a long time. I’ve put 4 months on them now and the tread barely shows any wear. But yeah save yourself some blisters and make sure they are well broken in before hitting the trail

Comfortable, but Poor Quality Control
I’ve been wearing these boots for a year. The boots took a while to break in, but after being broken in, they were extremely comfortable, both in garrison and the field. A few months ago, the stitching on the sole of my left boot started to rip out, so now there is a gap between the sole and the boot. Now the right boot is starting to have its stitching come out.It is very comfortable and it has great traction/grip. But the quality of it is subpar. Rocky will not warranty them for me. They redirected me to Amazon to get it warrantied. Would be a 4/5 if it weren’t for this.

good breathability. Overall great
From just putting them on and walking around my house i can tell they are the comfiest boots i have ever worn, they are padded on the bottom, lightweight (compared to my other boots), and even on the inside throughout there is a layer of soft fabric that adds comfort, good breathability. Overall great boot.Update: just walked about 4Km (2.5ish miles) and must say the only downfall is in the back of my left heel as i walked up hills i noticed a bit of chaffing, not much, but enough to cause a tiny red spot on the back of my heel. I reccomend wearing 2 socks with these boots.

Push through the blisters
As with any new footwear, there is a break-in period. These boots were no exception, however, once my heels healed (only had blisters in one spot) very comfortable boot! Havent had any hot spots like my old boots where I would have a hot spot in like 15 min or walking in them. Really like these boots!

Excellent boot
Gone for countless hikes in these boots. After years of bargain-bin department store brand boots these were a real treat to wear. After they break in they provide excellent ankle support and are supremely comfortable perfect to wear around rugged terrain and awkward features. They have saved my ankles many times from rolls and sprains. At the price point these are unbeatable. Have worn mine hard for a year and they are still going strong.
