Zip keeps coming undone, already lost some money from fall out during jogging. Don't understand why the manufacturer can't use decent quality zips to what is otherwise a good product.

Do you remember the 70’s ?Party 7s of Watney’s Red Barrel, The Sweeny, Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel ?I do: and with these shorts you get the styling of a modern 21st century look with that good old man-made fibre feel. Yes, although the label says 70% cotton the boffins at the material labs have reproduced the exact feel of the greatest thing about the 70s: Crimpolene. Oh Crimpolene, what Nylon wanted to be when it grew up, what polyester was too timid to attempt. Championed by Adam Faith in the cheeky cockney crime drama ’Budgie’ this fibre took over the world with its stay pressed, colour fast, slightly stretchy and sweat generating swagger.Used in everything from swimming trunks to furnishings it’s ubiquitous presence was only topped by the amount of static electricity discharged into small children and family pets.So you can see why I was delighted to feel that rough familiarity across my ‘shorts region’ despite the label informing me that in fact they contain 70% cotton.How do they do it I think I can hear you call, surely it’s a fix.Well I have no idea or answer for you except for the fact I suspect that AI or chatbot weavers, maybe even a drone spinning Jenny are involved. Possibly deep state forces are finally in the hands of ‘Big crimp’ at last.Anyway that has no importance at the moment as we are discussing leisure wear not the global forces that textiles can martial at a moments notice!!!I must admit the cut and construction of these technological marvels is brilliant. I am a rotund gentleman and prefer a slightly longer leg for my summer shorts and these have the perfect length for me at a smidge under 6 feet tall. The waist is comfortable with a standard tie cord around to avoid unintended dropage and possibly unwarranted embarrassment and civil unrest. The aglets on the cord are particularly well designed and go along way to avoid the loss of a cord end into the waistband which is one of the cruelest things that can happen to a person, along with unwarranted persecution or a meal with a casually racist family member.They are extremely comfortable and are suitable for any occasion save perhaps receiving an honour from our dear King or a meal with a casually racist family member, both occasions warrant a higher degree of padding at the knee. One for kneeling and one for providing cushioning when explaining in depth to the errant relative.All in all I’m very pleased and like the shorts immensely and am thinking about a second purchase, although I’m not sure that I would need any , as despite the label reporting the content of 70% cotton ( and I have absolutely no reason to doubt such a statement of fact and have complete faith in their accuracy) the likeness to a textile which can only be destroyed by fire or by the Thatcher government of the late 70s and early 80s, means that they should outlast me by some decades.This leaves a tricky issue of inheritance but I’m currently devising a covert ‘Shorts Eligibility’ scoring system for use privately after meetings with friends and family; the results of which I shall place before my legal representatives at the appropriate juncture.Hence my only awarding 4 stars, as the legal procedure alone is more of a commitment than I was expecting from the purchase of these rather useful shorts.Oh the memories of Crimpolene and the times of a simpler time, a time without strife, a time filled with static charges and a moist “area”.Ah I hear the door bell.Farewell gentle reader and I wish you good fortune in your search for a suitable short and hope that my honest and heartfelt missive has aided your search.

These shorts are very comfortable and with 2 zip pockets, they're great

Look and feel well made. Stylish.

They fit well but the rear pocket developed a tear in the same place as another pair I own. Must be a weakness where the pocket is stitched to the short. Don't expect them to last more than one summer.

Nice fit but order a size larger than you are.They are very comfortable!

Der Stoff fühlt sich gut an, aber die Größenangabe ist ein Witz.Ich hatte 4XL bestellt und selbst XL Hosen sind größer. Ich weiss nicht welches Volk diese Hose als 4XL beschreiben würde, aber es müssten Zwerge sein.Schade

Not bad at all. Pockets are a little shallow but that's the only downside. Very comfortable for working around the yard, etc.

Quality, hole in the right side pocket. So my advice is don't trust that you have a zipper in it, don't put anything in your pockets, or you will lose whatever you put in it.
