Hobby-CAST Choice MICA Powder for Color Casting (Mica Flo Pink)

My first purchase of this brand of mica was a mauve color they have, and it was on point! So I bought three more colors, this one, the jungle green, and a orange (I can’t remember the name of it off hand). They are pretty good size containers for only 7.99, which is why the 3 stars, and because the other colors I mentioned are close to the picture. This “red” reminds me of a hot pink, or one of those reflector vest pinks people wear to direct traffic if a field parking lot for events lol. Once I give it a try, I’ll update because it could come out differently, but most micas I have used generally look like the powder color when I use them in my soaps.

I tried to use this for color on a glass fused piece, as I have used other brands this way with no issues. The color completely burned off. However it is a very rich color, and if you are using for some other application, I’m sure it’s fine.

Received the product 2 days after ordering. The color is as expected. Well worth the price. Mixed it with acrylic powder and the color is beautiful!! I'm in love!!!

They say this is good for soap, it’s not. No matter what I do the color will not fully emulsify in my soap. I’ve never had so much trouble with mica and I’ve been making soap for years.

Good quality makes a great bright color with little amount of pigment,super bright under uv light have to mix alot to make sure it don't clump

Very pigmented! Such a beautiful color. It didn’t take much for what i needed it for. Look so beautiful under epoxy.
