I ordered these mostly for the needle case which are really nice. Functional and very attractive to boot. My current needle case is a wood push together type which would open unexpectedly. These are secure and screw together. The needles are quite nice too, large sizes, well made, with large eyes.

They come in pairs, 1 a lighter wood, 1 a darker wood which I find useful. I keep my small needles in the lighter wooden one and my large needles in the darker one. They screw together and have not had them come unscrewed on their own. Highly recommend.

Needle cases are well made and so are the needles. I have not used this yet, but will soon. The cases should last a life time and once the needles wear out (or get misplaced) the cases will continue to be of service to store new needles. Also, if wanted, cases can store other items such as toothpicks.

These are handy little needles and cases! I chose this item rather than other similar ones based on price and appearance, and was not disappointed! They look and feel well made and the tops screw in securely. I like switching the tops so you see both colors on one tube, just a bit of fun for me! ^_^The needle sizes are quite variable, something useful in a set. There is also room to add more, something I love! I had a few embroidery needles and chunky plastic needles for sewing in ends for my knitting, so I was wondering what I’d do with them. This has room to add some needles! To at least double the needles you get in it (if they’re all metal ones). I added about two metal needles and four or five chunky plastic needles, though some of those I put in upside down to even out the bulk.So if you want a capsule bursting full of needles, this is not it. But if you do already have some needles, you can easily fold them into these containers and always know where they are! I’m going to keep one in my general item stockpile so if I ever misplace my every day use one, I still have a ton of needles until I lay my hands on it again!

The cases are made from wood with a brass insert for the screw-top mechanism. Very solid and heavy. These will last for years and are beautiful to see and touch. I will be tossing most of the needles however as they are too large for anything other than maybe tapestries. I thought they would be good for needlepoint but the tips are super sharp so I just don't have a use for them. But the cases are worth every penny of the price and I would highly recommend them.

I was amazed at these needle holders. I took a chance at adding them to a gifted sewing kit for my husband. I thought it’d be great to keep needles in but had no idea about the quality screw lid or beautiful wood. I think everyone needs these to store other things in as well.The needles it came with are sizes for various projects (vinyl, leather, upholstery). The cost of these needles alone are worth the price. I would have paid for just the holders so the added needles are just a bonus for me. Even if you do not sew, these holders are unique. Be creative and find other uses for them.

The sewing needles are too thick for delicate fabrics. It seems like a permanent hole will form if you run this needle through too many times.

I needed a needle case for my large yarn needle as well as needles for hand sewing/embroidery, and the cases were perfect. The only reason I took a star off is because the needles that come with the kit are quite jumbo and I’m not sure really what you could even use them for. They are too sharp to be a good yarn needle and seem to big to hand sew with without putting huge holes in the fabric.
