2004 Dodge Ram Water Pump replacement
Water pump replaced did the whole kit and caboodle. Thermostat, anti-freeze/flush, upper/lower hoses and this fan clutch. Had HD tow package and wanted best cooling. Did not listen to reviews about being LOUD. This does make the motor sound loud when it start up....ROARS like more HP until the clutch warms up. About 2-5 min. normal driving then better. DO BELIEVE IT PULLS more air through the radiator for better cooling. Will leave it on for summer comparisons. BUT if it still seems to be an annoyance will put on the old "STANDARD" clutch. So HD is good but how much...ALSO it's new and needs wear in and I might get used to it. AT THIS POINT: hind sight would be to get the standard duty clutch or just leave the old good one on.

Definition of constant duty..
I used clutch for 2006 Dodge Ram Hemi.This thing is the definition of "constant" duty. I don't think it ever disengages at all unless you are on motorway. Or even that, it may not be disengaging at all because road noise takes over ambient and any other diagnostic noise.If you need your coolant system on overdrive, get this.It makes the lower RPM range noise much noticeable

Not for around town driving.
It did the job but drastically reduced engine power. It seemed like it never disengaged above when I was above 6000 feet elevation. If you are doing heavy pulling or pushing in extreme temperatures this is the product for you. If you are doing every day driving around town go with a standard clutch.

Severe Duty Cooling
This is the severe duty clutch. I installed it on a 4.7L; the 4.7 and 5.7 use the exact same radiator fan and clutch to water pump threads.This is the severe duty. This makes more noise, consumes a bit more horsepower, and possibly use a bit more gas than the normal light duty clutch. Only buy this if you really need the extra cooling for towing, hauling, hot climates, etc.Made in USA.

2900 model is for extreme duty, w/snowplow and manual trans. I didn't know this until I installed it. It virtually Never shuts down. Therefore, it takes forever for engine to warm up.
