Gift Basket Village Board of Directors Cheese & Sausage Gift, 4 Pound

After giving this as a gift I made sure to stick around and sample everything because it looked so alluring. I was very surprised by how bad the food was. My giftee, while politely positive about it at first, admitted later based on my reaction that it wasn't very good. The crackers were kind of stale and powdery and the spreads were really offensive. The sausage, mustard and candies were all similar to the 'store brand' items you could get for a fraction of the price at any supermarket, very standard fare. For this price I was expecting a lot more.The cutting board is nice but all the items are glued to it in a very annoying way so it takes a while just to disassemble the whole mess. This will definitely leave an impression on the person you send it to. A bad one.

It was a cute set. The food was actually pretty good. Seemed pretty fresh for packaged goods.

I would not feed the sausage to my dog, it had a mealy texture, I can't believe Wisconsin would produce a product like this!! The cheese was watery, cheese-whiz is better! The crackers were stale! The bon-bons were the size of M&M's! The only reason I gave it one star is the bamboo cutting board is OK.

As a gift was not appreciated. Feedback was of low quality items.

I had this sent as a gift. They loved it and said it was beautiful and everything delicious. Also loved the cutting board.

If I could give this company a zero star rating, I would. I ordered the packaging with the caviar in it; that is not what was received. In fact, what was received was a chintzy little cutting board with a bunch of chintzy little packaged goods on it, and none of it was exceptional or even tasty. The crackers were stale. The cheese was odd to say the least, the little meat logs was simply tubed grease and those candies? Fuggedahboudid!!! I wouldn't recommend this lousy product to anyone, not even my enemies. Gift Basket Village Board of Directors? How pretentious!! A fancy name for a slum product! DO NOT BUY.

My giftees reported the food was appreciated as was the presentation and the cutting board it was presented on. Mostly meat and cheese, fewer snacks, no sweets just as I wished to send a family with 2 diabetics.

I had this sent to my folks for Christmas. They loved all the goodies and thought the cutting board was beautiful!
